Job Title: Electrical Systems Design Engineer Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 About the Role Join a leading manufacturer seeking a talented Electrical Systems Design Engineer to innovate and design electrical systems for custom machinery and automation equipment. This role invites you to utilize your expertise in creating schematics, selecting components, and supporting testing and commissioning while collaborating with diverse engineering, assembly, and customer teams. What You'll Do Develop electrical schematics and panel layouts utilizing advanced CAD tools. Create Bill of Materials (BOMs) and specify PLCs, safety devices, motion hardware, and power components. Conduct load calculations, wire sizing, and system protection analyses to ensure optimal performance. Guarantee compliance with NEC, NFPA, UL, and related safety and operational standards. Assist in wiring, panel builds, testing, troubleshooting, and onsite commissioning. Maintain accurate documentation and engage in reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaboratively work with customers, vendors, and internal teams to achieve project goals. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience). A minimum of 3 years of electrical design experience in automation or machinery (preferred). Expertise in electrical CAD tools. Strong knowledge of PLCs, industrial networks, and motion control systems. Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70/79, UL508A, and machine safety standards.
