Inventory and Logistics Specialist

General Summary: As an Inventory and Logistics Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations through vehicle receiving and shipping, lot maintenance, and exceptional customer service. You will also be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, managing vehicle movements, and supporting our team with various tasks. Key Responsibilities: Follow work instructions and standardized processes to execute daily tasks accurately. Engage in continuous improvement activities and problem-solving initiatives with your team. Assist in training new associates, collaborating with Inventory Associate II and Managers. Deliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers. Maintain the cleanliness and security of display areas and work zones. Receive and secure vehicles shipped to CarMax, including preparing vehicle and title packets for distribution. Ensure vehicle status accuracy through effective scanning procedures. Clean and prepare vehicles for customer returns and loaner services, including washing and vacuuming. Drive vehicles on and off the lot as needed for repairs and storage. Adhere to CarMax’s 5S standards for workplace cleanliness and organization. Execute additional tasks as assigned by Flow Inventory Associate IVs and Managers. Minimum Qualifications: Valid driver’s license in alignment with CarMax DSEPS standards. Ability to accurately read, interpret, and manage data. High School diploma or equivalent experience is preferred. Capacity to follow established procedures and certifications. Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs safely. Working Conditions: This role involves both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to noisy and inclement weather. Flexible hours are required, with shifts that might include nights, weekends, and holidays. You will be expected to remain active, walking or standing for extended periods in a fast-paced setting. All staff are required to wear CarMax uniforms throughout their shifts. Compliance with CarMax and O.S.H.A. standards is essential, including the usage of Personal Protective Equipment. Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $20.59. Benefits: As a full-time associate, you are eligible for the following benefits: Accrue up to 48 hours of sick time annually and between 80-200 hours of vacation time based on years of service after a 90-day waiting period.
