Job Overview and Qualifications: The Registered Respiratory Therapist Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with departmental standards and practices. As part of the healthcare team, you will perform essential diagnostic tests, therapeutic procedures, and provide care for patients on mechanical ventilation. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure. Perform diagnostic tests to determine the necessity and effectiveness of respiratory therapy. Deliver a variety of respiratory therapies such as oxygen delivery, aerosol medication administration, and chest physiotherapy. Assist in the placement of artificial airways and manage mechanical ventilation systems. Continuously monitor patients' therapeutic responses, promptly notifying providers and intervening as necessary in emergencies. Facilitate the safe transportation of patients dependent on ventilators. Act swiftly to ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during emergencies. Qualifications Required: Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting. Neonate Resuscitate certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting. PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting. Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT). Must be a licensed Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner in your state (RRT/RCP-State). No travel is required for this position.
