This position offers an exciting opportunity as a leader in patient care, applying the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. You will effectively delegate, direct and assist team members while taking accountability for quality patient outcomes. Additionally, you'll demonstrate cultural awareness and engage in activities that help meet the strategic goals of our department, all while embodying professional responsibility and supporting our nursing philosophy. Requirements: Education: Required - Registered nurse diploma. Preferred - Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing. Experience: Required - None. Certifications: Required - Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred - Certification in a clinical specialty area. Key Skills and Abilities: Proficient in computer and software applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Ability to exercise good judgment. Job Responsibilities: Utilize the nursing process effectively in patient care delivery. Assess learning needs and implement tailored teaching strategies for diverse patients and families. Manage and delegate nursing team resources effectively. Use data and information to drive changes for optimal outcomes. Promote customer satisfaction and support professional development in nursing. Adapt behavior to meet the specific needs of diverse patient populations. Perform other related duties as necessary. Physical and Environmental Requirements: You will encounter moderate to heavy physical demands, including lifting weights of up to 100 pounds at times. Expect regular exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and materials that may contain communicable diseases. Additionally, be prepared for potential exposure to hazardous medications and waste.
