Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions centered on communication, fluency, language, voice, and swallowing. Work collaboratively with nurses, occupational and physical therapists, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate comprehensive care plans. Provide educational guidance to patients and families, ensuring their engagement continues outside of therapeutic encounters. Conduct occasional onsite speech therapy evaluations and interventions to maintain consistent care for our patients. Keep meticulous records that adhere to state, federal, and institutional guidelines. Engage in professional development by staying informed on the latest advancements within the field. Qualifications A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Specialist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hiring. Skills Expertise in using evidence-based practices for diverse age groups, along with a profound understanding of developmental and acquired language, speech, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding interpersonal skills with a focus on communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to adjust therapy techniques to accommodate varying cultural and linguistic needs. Strong clinical reasoning and analytical thought processes.
