Job Description Join Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) as we revolutionize the media and entertainment (M&E) industry. In the role of Senior Principal Solutions Architect for OCI Media Services, you will be an essential part of our technical leadership team, focusing on innovative cloud-native solutions. Your expertise will be pivotal in driving the adoption of OCI by crafting impactful solutions, mentoring less experienced architects, and facilitating smooth integrations between OCI and third-party ecosystems. As a Senior Architect, you will collaborate closely with the Lead Solution Architect to define the technical strategy, streamline complex deployments, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients and partners. Your specialized knowledge in M&E workflows, particularly in Broadcast, along with cloud infrastructure experience, will significantly contribute to accelerating customer migrations and bolstering OCI's industry leadership. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert on M&E cloud solutions, offering guidance to ISVs and customers regarding best practices for OCI integrations, performance enhancements, and scalable architecture development. Advanced Solution Design: Architect and document valuable, repeatable solutions like IP transformation and remote production, merging OCI services with partner technologies. ISV & Partner Enablement: Lead technical engagements with essential ISVs, assuring their solutions are fully optimized for OCI while overcoming complex integration challenges. Customer Acceleration: Collaborate with Strategic Customer Engineering (SCE) and sales teams to design and implement mission-critical workflows for enterprise customers, facilitating successful large-scale migrations. Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Coach less experienced architects and contribute to internal technical enablement initiatives, promoting consistency in solution design within the team. Voice of the Customer: Represent customer and ISV interests by providing structured feedback to OCI product teams, shaping roadmap priorities to bridge critical gaps. Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in technical roles (Solutions Architecture, Consulting, or Engineering) with an in-depth understanding of media workflows (broadcast, production, distribution, or gaming) along with cloud infrastructure expertise. Proven cloud proficiency in OCI, AWS, or Azure—with a strong emphasis on OCI—covering key areas such as compute, storage, networking, security, and hybrid/multi-cloud architectures. Hands-on experience with M&E technologies (e.g., media codecs, transcoding, storage systems, DRM, CDNs) and familiarity with essential ISV solutions in this domain. Strong leadership capabilities—skilled in influencing stakeholders and fostering consensus across engineering, product, and sales teams. Exceptional problem-solving skills—experienced at troubleshooting complex issues across multiple layers and devising resilient, high-performance cloud solutions. Excellent communication skills—adept at conveying complex technical ideas to a wide array of audiences, including executives and technical professionals. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Compensation: The hiring range for this role is between $96,800 and $251,600 per annum, depending on various factors including experience and location.
