Job Description

Join our team as an Optical Dispensing Specialist, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the perfect eyewear tailored to their needs. Your expertise and exceptional customer service skills will be key in creating extraordinary experiences for our patients, driving satisfaction and repeat business. Deliver an exceptional experience to each patient by providing personalized recommendations for eyewear products and services. Expertly fit glasses, ensuring the right size frames are selected for each patient. Build your own clientele through exemplary service and positive patient interactions. Provide support to co-workers with complex product needs and prescriptions. Stay updated on the latest company offerings, industry products, and manufacturer procedures. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their orders, resolving any issues promptly and involving the Store Manager when necessary. Retrieve and manage patient charts and electronic health records with confidentiality. Assist patients in selecting the right frames, lens types, and treatments based on their unique needs. Educate patients on optimal eye care for eyeglasses and contact lenses. Conduct precise eye and face measurements to guarantee the perfect fit. Interpret prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists accurately. Create detailed work orders for lab technicians, specifying lens requirements. Follow up on pending orders, ensuring timely updates are provided to patients. Inspect and dispense eyewear, making necessary adjustments to ensure comfort and satisfaction. Utilize various tools such as pupilometers and lensometers to enhance your work. Maintain regular communication with technicians and store managers for optimal workflow. Inspect final products for quality, cleaning lenses as needed before giving them to patients. Ensure a clean and organized store environment, regularly restocking merchandise. Address product inquiries thoroughly, providing accurate information on pricing, warranties, and promotions. Collaborate closely with technicians, front desk associates, managers, and optometrists for seamless operations. Promote and sell ancillary products, including eyewear cleaners and safety glasses. Qualifications: High School Diploma required. State Licensure in opticianry. Previous optical dispensing experience highly preferred. A minimum of one year working as an Optician is strongly desired. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations is a plus. Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Outstanding customer service skills, with a friendly demeanor. Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination. Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
