Full-Charge BookkeeperLocation: Sanford, FL (On-site | No remote) Compensation: $50,000-$70,000 base (negotiable based on experience) Job Type: Full-time About the Role Our client is a long-established public accounting firm in Sanford, Florida that provides accounting, tax, and advisory services to small and mid-sized businesses. The firm is known for long-term client relationships, strong ethical standards, and a supportive, family-friendly culture. They are seeking a Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting functions for multiple client accounts. What You'll Be Doing Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for assigned clients Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable Maintain general ledger and post journal entries Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Prepare trial balances and financial reports Track fixed assets and depreciation schedules Payroll, Tax & Compliance Process payroll and related tax filings Prepare quarterly payroll tax returns Prepare and reconcile W-2 and 1099 filings Assist with sales tax and other compliance filings Ensure accuracy and adherence to GAAP Reporting & Close Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close Support firm leadership with financial reporting and analysis Client & Internal Support Communicate professionally with clients on accounting matters Support tax and audit teams with clean, organized financial records Assist with or review work from junior accounting staff as needed What We're Looking For 3-5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience CPA firm or public accounting experience preferred High school diploma required Associate's degree in Accounting or Business preferred Strong QuickBooks Online experience required Excel proficiency Highly detail-oriented and organized Strong communication and time-management skills Professional, ethical, and discreet with confidential information Work Environment On-site role in Sanford office Occasional client site visits may be required Generally low to moderate overtime Increased hours during tax season Professional office setting with business casual Fridays Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $50,000-$70,000 (negotiable) Health insurance Life insurance Short- and long-term disability Retirement plan Flexible spending account Supportive, family-friendly work environment How to Apply Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit a resume outlining relevant experience and availability.
