Title: Quality Technician I Hiring Manager: Ben Fox Shift: 3rd Shift Hours: 3:00pm - 11:00pm Rate: $22.95 (with Shift Differential of $2.00 cents: $24.95) Location: F137 Device - 11287 Kiley Road, Huntley, IL Summary Description With general supervision, the Quality Technician I monitors product quality by providing feedback, recording inspection results, and quarantining suspect or defective product. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer specifications. What You'll Be Doing Job Duties and Responsibilities Monitor the production process and collect dimensional data Review, understand, and follow inspection control plans Train Packers/Inspectors on job-specific quality requirements Visually inspect samples from each job Quarantine non-conforming product according to inspection control plans Inspect and review statistical data for incoming raw materials Provide statistical data as requested Prepare labels and Certifications of Compliance (COCs) as required Perform other duties as assigned Physical and Visual Demands Standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling Reading, writing, and verbal communication Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to continuously lift, reach, stand, push, pull, and walk throughout the shift Good vision Meticulous attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Good manual dexterity and agility Strong math skills, including basic statistical knowledge Experience and Education High school diploma or equivalent One year of previous production line experience preferred Machines, Tools, and Equipment Thermoforming machines Measuring instruments Computer and Microsoft Office Environmental Demands Exposure to heat, toxic fumes, greases, and lubricants Skill Level I Expectations Understand and ensure Minimum Workmanship Requirements Understand and use TEQ terminology Identify product visual defects Ensure proper packing standards Ensure proper inspection standards Perform in-process inspections per control plans Properly use scales, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and Magna-Mikes Benefits At TOPPAN Packaging Americas, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support overall wellbeing.
