Job Description

The Inside Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of fabrication projects involving sheet metal, heavy plate, and structural steel. This role works closely with senior project managers, estimators, engineering, and shop supervisors to ensure projects move smoothly from kickoff through delivery. It’s a hands‑on, detail‑oriented position ideal for someone who enjoys technical work, fast‑paced environments, and learning how complex builds come together.  Who We Are:  Founded in 1965, Prince Service & Mfg. has been synonymous with quality work for more than 55 years. We want your confidence and determination to shine in all you do - join our team today!     Location/Schedule: Macon, GA / 1st shift  What We Offer:  Excellent Compensation   Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance   Health Savings Account   Life & Disability Insurance   Employee Assistance Program   Team Meetings    Employee Committees & Involvement   Bonus Incentive Program   Community Service Day   Team Events & Activities   Awesome Company Culture  What You’ll Do:  Coordinate internal project activities from contract award through final shipment  Review fabrication drawings, cut lists, and BOMs for accuracy and completeness  Track material orders, vendor lead times, and delivery schedules  Communicate daily with engineering, purchasing, and shop leads to maintain workflow alignment  Update project schedules, status reports, and internal tracking systems  Assist with change orders, RFIs, and documentation updates  Monitor project costs, labor hours, and material usage against budget  Support quality control processes by ensuring documentation and inspections are completed  Coordinate documentation and logistics for outgoing fabricated components  Participate in production meetings and follow up on action items  Help identify bottlenecks and propose process improvements  Who You Are:  Experience or education in manufacturing, industrial technology, engineering, or project management  Basic understanding of fabrication processes such as cutting, forming, welding, machining, and finishing  Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication details (or willingness to learn quickly)  Strong organizational and communication skills  Comfortable working in both office and shop‑floor environments  Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, scheduling tools, or project management software  Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy under pressure  2D/3D design experience utilizing Autocad/Solidworks or equivalent would be preferred  We kindly ask that applicants refrain from contacting the company directly regarding application status. Qualified candidates will receive a phone screen invite from the recruiting team.  Prince Service & Manufacturingis proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
