Specific Duties and Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, rigorous lessons tailored to students' individual strengths Employ project-based and problem-based learning to actively involve students in their own learning Foster students' critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Integrate technology effectively to enhance learning outcomes Utilize a variety of assessment tools to monitor student progress and inform instruction Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners Serve as an advisor, providing academic guidance and mentorship Promote high expectations and prepare students for future academic success Communicate regularly with families, students, and colleagues regarding progress and needs Engage families and community partners to support student learning and address barriers Participate in professional learning and contribute to school improvement initiatives Collaborate as a member of a high-performing instructional team Perform other duties as needed to support the daily operation of the school Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong academic foundation with the ability to integrate STEM concepts across subjects Understanding of child development, social-emotional learning, and the influence of culture and community Familiarity with innovative instructional practices and current educational trends Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-focused environment Intrinsically motivated and committed to continuous professional growth Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues Effective use of technology to enhance instruction and student learning Minimum Training and Experience Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; Master's degree preferred Minimum of three years of teaching experience preferred North Carolina Professional Educator's License required Strong commitment to serving first-generation students and those underrepresented in STEM fields If you are an educator who values mentorship, innovation, and student success, we invite you to apply and make an immediate impact in the lives of K-6 students!
