Senior Mechanical Engineer

Salary: $ 125,000.00 We have partnered with a large engineering services company in the Metro DC area to provide them with a Senior Electrical Engineer. Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested. Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Senior Electrical Engineer: #1. BS in Mechanical Engineering #2. Active Mechanical PE #3. 10-15 years consulting engineering experience #4. HVAC and plumbing system design #5. AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC load calculation software Responsibilities of the Senior Electrical Engineer: Self-motivated team play willing to work closely with business development team and other leads in developing technical proposals and take a proactive role in marketing/business development. Perform the following functions: Design of HVAC and plumbing systems Manage and design multiple concurrent projects Strong ability to interpret technical drawings Lead design team efforts Manage project team for budget and schedule control Develop fee and qualification-based proposals Familiarity with relevant codes: mechanical, energy, plumbing and ensure design conforms with all applicable codes and client standards Reading and preparing project drawings including ductwork plans, piping plans, sections, isometric piping drawings, and bills of materials. Perform HVAC calculations and analysis using standard industry programs Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment . Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities . Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint software preferred. Must understand database concepts. Working knowledge of marketing databases and proposal resources files. Conduct marketing/business development activities Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale. Requirements of the Senior Electrical Engineer: Bachelor's Degree (B.S) in Mechanical engineering or related field from an accredited college or university. Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering (required) 10 to 15 years of experience Experience with Load Calculation Software Experience with AutoCAD and Revit Excellent verbal and written communication skills Project Management experience and/or certifications Desire to lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams Experience with energy modeling is a plus Local AHJ experience and relationships is a plus Active local industry involvement is a plus Other Key Requirements: Must be able to work in the office four (4) days a week Willingness to travel for occasional site visits No sponsorships or visa holders.
