The Quality Manger is responsible for the management, development and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) and the Quality Assurance team for the Portage facility. Through guidance and leadership, the Quality Team supports the product development and manufacturing efforts of the plant, investigates any quality issues relating to raw materials or manufactured products, and drives continuous improvement activities. This role is responsible for the overall quality education at the plant and ensures our QMS adheres to regulatory and company quality policies, procedures and operating guidelines.This role requires a high degree of general business acumen overall and in the area of Quality. The position leads the Quality activities with strategic and tactical management of new and ongoing projects to improve overall quality efficiencies in order to meet our business and customer needs. Successful Quality management ensures compliance with product quality standards and clean room standards and will enhance our manufacturing processes in order to make sure we have consistent cost improvements.Implement, own, and continuously improve a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) that operates in compliance with corporate quality policies, applicable regulatory requirements, and relevant industry standards and guidance. This includes:• Establishing and maintaining effective document control processes, including review and approval of controlled documents.• Implementing and overseeing a robust change management program to ensure appropriate assessment, approval, and control of changes, including engineering changes, customer specifications, raw materials, finished goods specifications, and maintenance activities.• Implementing and overseeing supplier quality management processes, including supplier qualification, performance monitoring, and execution of supplier audits as appropriate.• Overseeing cleanroom practices, including qualification, environmental monitoring, and adherence to required behaviors and controls.• Integrating Quality Risk Management principles across relevant QMS processes to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risk.• Managing internal and external audit programs, including regulatory, customer, and supply chain audits, ensuring readiness, effective execution, and timely closure of findings.Bachelor’s degree Engineering or a Science/Technical relate field, other BA/BS programs may be considered provided applicant has successfully completed fundamental math and science course work. RequiredMaster’s degree Technical degree in an engineering, math, quality or business statistics Preferred7+years working as a Quality Manager or in a Quality function in a Manufacturing environment required.-5+years of supervision or management experience required.ABOUT US Saint-Gobain’s innovations touch almost every major industry around the world.
