FTE: 0% WORK SHIFT Variable PAY RANGE: $30.89 - $45.57 UNION: UFCW 3000-Professional and Technical SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS/PREMIUMS: Weekend & Holiday Shifts: Yes On Call Shifts: Yes Shift Differentials: Evening $3.00/hour Night $5.00/hour Premiums: Weekend Premium $4.50/hour Standby Premium $4.00/hour Per Diem Premium 15% (on base, in lieu of benefits) Certification Premium $2.00/hour JOB DESCRIPTION: Assists in the care and preparation of the surgical patient. Functions as a member of the surgical team creating and maintaining a sterile field. Knowledgeable about instruments, supplies and equipment used during a surgical procedure. Understands the procedure being performed and has the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. Possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs. Provides care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. EDUCATION Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program. EXPERIENCE Minimum one-year recent surgical experience preferred. LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS Current Washington State registration as a Surgical Technologist.
