Job Title: IT Support Analyst (Windows Migration) Location: 601 East Leigh Street, Richmond, VA 23219 Duration: 6-month contract (possible extension or conversion to full-time) Pay Rate: $32.06/hr (W2) Benefits: Weekly pay + Medical, Dental, Vision Role Summary The Associate IT Systems Support Specialist (Windows 11 Analyst) supports enterprise-wide Windows 11 migration activities at the client site. This role focuses on deskside and Lab IT environments and requires strong customer interaction skills, technical troubleshooting ability, and collaboration with cross-functional IT and project teams. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable working in fast-paced technical environments. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong working relationships with lab owners, IT teams, and management stakeholders. Update and manage physical inventory records for lab equipment, PCs, software, and related assets. Partner with project management teams to ensure smooth and timely migration activities. Perform Windows migration tasks following established Windows 10/PKI documentation and standards. Create and maintain documentation for procedures, troubleshooting steps, policies, and best practices. Coordinate migration activities with external vendors and service partners. Provide daily status updates and maintain communication with the Windows migration team. Participate in daily project scrum or stand-up meetings. Communicate clearly and promptly with users and project leadership, ensuring timely follow-up. Escalate technical or project issues to the project manager when needed. Manage workload independently and meet project timelines with minimal supervision. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 3-5 years of relevant deskside support experience. OR Associate's degree with 3+ years of deskside or Lab IT support experience. OR High school diploma (or equivalent) with 5+ years of deskside or Lab IT support experience. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong leadership mindset and results-oriented approach. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Customer-focused with a collaborative, team-oriented work style. Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues. Critical Skills Strong customer service and user support skills with the ability to interpret client needs. Hands-on troubleshooting of desktop and Lab IT technologies. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects within defined timelines. Self-motivated with strong time management and prioritization skills. High attention to detail and ability to follow technical documentation precisely. Capable of multitasking while supporting diverse user groups. Preferred Qualifications Experience in deskside support roles. Experience supporting Lab IT systems and scientific instrumentation. Experience working in life sciences or laboratory environments.
