Sr. Data Analyst

Apex has an opportunity for a Sr. Data Analyst t to join our fast-paced Banking Industry client partner! Role: Sr. Data Analyst Location: Remote (east coast, US) Term: 3+ Months Job Description: • Creating functional and technical documentation for data provisioning pipelines (Source to target mappings, Data environment diagrams, etc..) • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions. • Conducting ad-hoc analysis and deep dives into specific financial areas or projects. • Collecting, organizing, and analyzing financial data from various sources. • Required to have good knowledge of databases, data models, and data systems for financial analysis. • Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security in financial databases and systems. • Recommending process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance data analysis efficiency. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. • Strong knowledge of financial concepts, accounting principles, and financial markets, specially in Retail Banking • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis. • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel • Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and tools. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment. • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R is a plus. Additional Information: • Professional certifications in finance domain or data domain would be added advantage. • Continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and technologies are essential for success in this role. Experience Needed: • 5+ years of experience • Must have experience creating functional and technical documentation for data provisioning pipelines (i.e. Source to target mappings, Data environment diagrams, etc..) • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis. • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel. • Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and tools. • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.
