Travel will be involved within the Philadelphia region.Danella celebrated its 52nd Anniversary as a utility construction leader and is ranked by Engineering News-Record (ENR) within the Top 20 Utility Contractors in the United States.Please note this job requires experience within the gas industry.SUMMARYDanella's Gas Laborer is a physical role out in the field and involves digging near various underground utilities, repairing conduit systems, and more. Work may be in or near confined spaces such as manholes and trench excavations. Good communication skills are essential as this position reports to the Foreman.RESPONSIBILITIES Work with machines, saws, hand tools, and equipment to perform dutiesCompliance with safety policies and proceduresCompleting a Pre-Job Hazard Analysis each daySecuring worksites at the end of each day to ensure public safety and safety of Danella equipmentLead by example by modeling proper safety behaviors and maintain a drug-free work environmentAssist in investigations of incidents and claims (as required)Foster trust, accountability, and open communication QUALIFICATIONSSKILLS/EDUCATION Specialized training in a relevant Construction field or equivalent work experienceUnderstanding of Gas Distribution construction and utility industry practices, processes, and standards WHAT DANELLA OFFERS On the job professional and technical trainingCareer paths for future growth This position is subjected to the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) and other drugs/alcohol testing based on government regulations.
