Position Highlights Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric to geriatric populations employing both structured assessments and observational evaluations. Craft tailored treatment strategies that prioritize both immediate goals and sustained communication, cognitive, or swallowing improvement. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions concentrating on aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing rehabilitation. Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and family members to develop seamless patterns of care. Provide insightful guidance and educational resources for patients and their families, ensuring continued progress after therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions, providing consistent care throughout patient journeys. Maintain precise and timely documentation in alignment with health regulations and organizational protocols. Engage in continuous education and professional growth opportunities, keeping abreast with advancements in the speech-language pathology domain. Educational Requirements Possession of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), particularly for those not yet certified by ASHA. Licensing and Certifications Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Desired Skills Expertise in evidence-based therapy modalities for diverse age groups and a firm grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges. Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams. Capacity to modify therapeutic approaches to accommodate varied cultural and linguistic preferences. Strong clinical reasoning and analytical skills.
