Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Student Nurse Intern, working under the supervision of a licensed nurse to provide compassionate patient care. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in various clinical duties, supporting patients through their daily activities and assisting with essential nursing interventions. Key Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care tailored to age and developmental needs, including assistance with hygiene such as bathing, hair care, oral hygiene, and grooming. Provide skin care while taking precautions to prevent breakdown. Assist with physical activities including repositioning, ambulation, range of motion exercises, and transfers. Support nutritional needs by preparing patients for meals, assisting with feeding, monitoring intake, and adhering to dietary restrictions. Collect specimens, perform vital signs, and document intake and output accurately. Perform technical nursing procedures such as oxygen therapy management, catheter insertion/removal, intravenous therapy discontinuation, nasopharyngeal suctioning, dressing changes, wound care, and skin management. Conduct patient assessments and collaborate closely with the primary nurse to ensure quality care. Educate patients and families in conjunction with the primary nurse. Maintain thorough and precise documentation of all patient care activities in medical records. Education Currently enrolled in a nursing program or completed nursing education but not yet licensed. Experience This is an entry-level position; no prior experience is required. Requirements Strong mental focus and physical stamina to perform frequent walking, lifting, turning, and other physical activities. Ability to work in environments with exposure to infectious diseases and other health hazards.
