Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric categories using standardized assessments and observational methods. Design bespoke treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver personalized therapy sessions, emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing rehabilitation. Cultivate collaborative relationships with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and families to ensure holistic care pathways. Provide vital education resources for patients and families to encourage continuous progress outside therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient therapeutic evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing seamless care along the treatment continuum. Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as institutional protocols. Eagerly pursue professional development through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified. Certifications Current state license for practice as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within your first month of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based practices for clients of all ages, possessing a deep comprehension of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication skills, effectively engaging with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary care teams. Adept at modifying therapy modalities to respect and respond to cultural and linguistic diversity. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
