Description Assess patients in pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tests and observational assessment methods. Create tailored treatment plans addressing immediate goals alongside long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing concerns. Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions targeting diverse areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Work synergistically with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to forge integrated care strategies. Provide education to patients and their families, encouraging progress beyond therapy sessions. Assist with occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and treatments, ensuring seamless continuity of care. Maintain diligent and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Keep abreast of advancements in the field through professional development and collaboration with colleagues. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of commencing employment.
