Your Role in Our Mission Conduct thorough evaluations of patients from pediatric to geriatric populations using standardized assessments and keen observational techniques. Create customized treatment plans that address immediate goals while considering long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges. Work alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to devise comprehensive care approaches. Provide education and guidance for patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond clinical settings. Assist with occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care through the treatment process. Keep meticulous and timely documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards. Stay abreast of developments and advancements in the speech-language pathology field through continuous learning and collaboration with peers. Qualifications We Seek A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), especially for candidates yet to receive ASHA certification. CREDENTIALS TO ENSURE SUCCESS State licensure is mandatory for a Speech Language Pathologist. Achieving the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment. Desirable Skills for This Position Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic methods across various age groups, paired with a robust understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Adeptness in modifying therapy techniques to cater to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
