Department: Facility Management Shift: Day Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm and work as needed Summary: The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for design, implementation, and assisting with maintenance and operation of electrical systems within our health care facilities. This role involves ensuring that Lighting, Power Distribution, Data pathways, Nurse call Pathways, emergency generators, and other electrical systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with health care regulations as well as the National Electrical Code. The Senior Electrical Engineer will provide leadership for Electrical and Mechanical Engineer position growth. Other information: Provide direction and leadership for Electrical and Mechanical Engineer positions. Design, analyze, and optimize electrical systems, including load analysis, arc flash, and other related systems to support hospital and healthcare operations. Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for electrical systems. Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Conduct site assessments and audits to evaluate system performance and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate electrical systems with building designs and other infrastructure. Ensure compliance with health care regulations, industry standards, and safety codes. Manage projects from concept through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, and construction administration. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues, providing technical support and solutions as needed. Stay up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering technologies and healthcare facility requirements. Education - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four year institution or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. • Experience - A minimum of four (4) years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on health care facilities or similar environments. • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Proficiency in electrical design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Easy Power load analysis software). Strong knowledge of lighting and power systems, and health care facility requirements is preferred. • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team including effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
