Senior Integration & Composition Engineer

Job Summary The Senior Integration & Composition Engineer will design and implement dynamic payload transformations and configuration-driven integrations across internal systems and external partners. This role focuses on JSON payload composition, system-to-system integration, workflow transformation, and reusable template development. The engineer will use JQ and Go templating to enable scalable, resilient, and consistent integrations across multiple environments and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated solutions meet business, performance, and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities Design and implement integration compositions across APIs, services, and platforms. Transform, filter, and enrich JSON payloads using JQ. Build reusable and parameterized templates using Go templating. Compose request and response structures based on business rules and downstream system requirements. Support end-to-end system integrations, orchestration, and data mapping. Troubleshoot issues related to payload structures, templates, and transformation logic. Collaborate with platform, API, and DevOps teams to support seamless deployments. Maintain version-controlled templates, integrations, and transformation artifacts. Build Go template-driven configurations for reusable, parameterized integrations across environments (DEV, QA, UAT, PROD). Integrate third-party platforms with upstream and downstream systems. Implement standardized error handling and decline mapping for consistent experiences. Work with product, architecture, QA, and operations teams to ensure payment integrations meet functional, regulatory, and performance needs. Troubleshoot issues related to payment composition, payload mismatches, and partner integration failures. Contribute to documentation, best practices, and reusable integration components. Required Qualifications Hands-on experience with JQ for JSON filtering, mapping, aggregation, and conditional logic. Strong proficiency with Go templating, including loops, conditionals, reusable templates, and payload generation. Experience integrating REST-based APIs, event-driven flows, JSON, HTTP, API gateways, middleware, or integration platforms. Experience programming or scripting in Go, Java, or Python. Understanding of payment failure scenarios, declines, and reconciliation impacts. Experience working with high-throughput, low-latency transaction systems. Knowledge of DevOps practices including Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with orchestration frameworks. Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with payment platforms and end-to-end payment lifecycles. Knowledge of alternative payment methods, recurring billing, or subscription models. Exposure to cloud-native deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes-based platforms.
