Position Overview: This role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care and leadership within a collaborative healthcare team. The nurse will support patients across all ages and backgrounds, promoting health and providing physical and psychosocial care. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, adapting care plans, and coordinating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities: Maintain competency in identifying patient issues for all age groups from infants to geriatrics. Recognize clinical changes and adjust care plans accordingly while monitoring outcomes. Perform thorough assessments and apply critical thinking to interpret data and respond effectively. Communicate relevant information to the healthcare team promptly. Develop and update individualized nursing care plans daily and as needed. Administer medications following pharmacy and manufacturer guidelines. Adhere to all policies and procedures, ensuring timely completion of physician orders. Prioritize patient care efficiently, working well under stress with maturity and flexibility. Manage equipment and supplies based on patient needs, maintaining cleanliness and organization. Accurately charge for supplies and treatments. Demonstrate flexibility in work hours and assignments, including potential support in respiratory, physical, or occupational therapy. Education and Certifications: Registered Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school. Active Registered Nurse license in the relevant state. BLS (CPR) certification required or to be obtained within 3 months of hire. ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications to be completed within 1 year (NRP not required for Surgical RN-Advanced). For Emergency Room specialization, completion of TNCC is required.
