X/UI Designer III

Job title: UX/UI Designer III Location: Only local to MTV or SFO so they can come onsite 2 days a week - Mountain View, California 94043 / San Francisco, California 94103 Duration: 6+ months Shift: 1st shift Duties: Lead, deliver, and contribute the user experience design and delivery of pioneering agentic experiences that seamlessly integrate across diverse product portfolio. - Collaboratively define requirements with a wide range of partners across our ecosystem, transforming these insights into cohesive and comprehensive end-to-end user journeys. - Drive innovative solutions by strategically balancing blue-sky creative exploration with pragmatic and implementable applications. - Synthesize user research findings and business objectives into clear and compelling user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes that effectively communicate design intent. - Thrive and effectively design within ambiguous and rapidly evolving innovative environments, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving. - Produce meticulous and developer-ready design specifications to ensure accurate and high-quality implementation. Interview : 2 rounds, final with a mini craft. Must Have Demonstrate design thinking Data / customer driven Framing the problem Ecosystem thinking / Systems thinking Understanding user needs Innovative design thinking Can start with a blank slate Knows how to get inspiration Tackles ambiguity Deals well with fewer constraints Comfortable exploring Asking questions Google searches External inspiration Future oriented - awareness of trends, emerging themes, etc. Technical skills Figma Prototype, wire, story Nice to have Integrates business needs into designs CTA, ecosystem of products Experience with research Desk research is prioritized Experience designing Agentic Experiences Skills: Demonstrated mastery of fundamental design principles (e.g., usability, accessibility, visual hierarchy) and established design methodologies (e.g., Design Thinking, User-Centered Design). - Experience in translating the potential of emerging technologies, particularly agentic AI, into tangible design solutions that address user needs and pain points. - Exceptional ability to visually communicate design concepts and solutions through compelling storyboards, detailed wireframes, and interactive prototypes. - Expert-level proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD. - Proven ability to strategically apply and extend design systems to ensure consistency and efficiency in exploratory design prototypes. - A strong understanding of design considerations for enterprise and data-rich products. Education: Bachelor's degree in design, HCI, or relevant field; master's preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
