Quality Assurance Analyst

4. Scope of Services The Quality Assurance Analyst (Automation) will be a key member of the OIT PALM Program QA Team, responsible for developing and executing manual and automated test scripts. The role focuses on testing code changes, validating integration workflows, and coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure delivery of high-quality software. 5. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field OR an additional 2 years of relevant experience may substitute for formal educatio . Experience 3-5 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance or a related field (required) 3-5 years of experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver) (highly desired) Experience in DevOps environments (highly desired) Experience testing ETL jobs, including Informatica workflows (highly desired) 7. Primary Job Duties and Tasks The candidate will perform, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: Plan and conduct various testing types: regression, functional, data validation, system integration, load, and performance Develop and execute detailed test plans and automated/manual test cases Participate in test planning, case/script creation, test execution, and automation Define and monitor QA metrics (e.g., defect counts, test results, test coverage) Collect and analyze data for process improvement and integrate findings into business workflows Document issues and collaborate with developers to ensure resolution Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design testing strategies and integrate QA into the SDLC Execute UAT support and defect lifecycle management Apply testing methodologies such as model-based or record-and-replay automation Evaluate and recommend new testing tools and technologies Promote testing best practices and deliver QA process training to internal teams Maintain test case repositories and verify defect fixes 8. Job-Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies Proficiency in writing automated test scripts using .NET or other scripting languages and frameworks Proficient in writing SQL queries for data validation Ability to work in Agile and cross-functional team environments Strong verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to train, mentor, and convey technical concepts clearly Adaptability in fast-paced and dynamic environments Analytical and critical thinking skills for problem-solving Capable of leading or motivating QA and development teams Skilled in creating visual models for simplifying complex concepts Effective at organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple assignments and schedules Familiar with IT infrastructure, application architectures, mainframe systems, relational databases, and data integration practices Awareness of AI-based testing approaches and modern testing trends
