Job Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized assessments and observational methods. Create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy interventions targeting aspects such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers to ensure seamless care integration. Educate patients and their families to encourage progress outside the therapy setting. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring uninterrupted care throughout the rehabilitation process. Maintain precise documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Engage in ongoing professional development through continued education and collaborative peer interactions. Educational Requirements Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA. Required Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting the position. Desired Skills Expertise in utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities for varied age groups, with a deep understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and the wider healthcare team. Capacity to tailor therapy approaches to meet the cultural and linguistic backgrounds of your clients. Sound clinical judgment paired with effective problem-solving capabilities.
