The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in managing complex projects within the Aerospace and Defense sector, ensuring that all deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time and within budget. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a deep understanding of industry regulations and standards. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the delivery of projects within the Aerospace and Defense domain, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, while effectively managing resources and stakeholder expectations. Coordinate cross functional teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery. Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to mitigate risks and issues. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in Aerospace and Defense. Facilitate communication between stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and methodologies. Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Mandatory Skills: Extensive knowledge and experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry. Proven track record of managing large scale projects with complex requirements. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively. Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). Preferred Skills: Experience with government contracts and compliance in the Aerospace and Defense sector. Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in Aerospace and Defense. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent. Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. 15+ years of experience in project management, specifically within the Aerospace and Defense industry. Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Willingness to travel as required for project needs.
