Are you ready to join a growing team?CTG is seeking to fill a Business Systems Analyst IV opening for our client.Location: Buffalo, NY (4-day in-office requirement)Duration: 6 monthsOverview:The Business Systems Analyst IV is responsible for facilitating moderately complex to complex projects from proposal through post-implementation. This role partners with business lines and technology teams to define requirements, develop functional specifications, coordinate testing efforts, and ensure solutions meet business, regulatory, and operational needs. The analyst serves as a functional lead and subject matter expert, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with enterprise standards.Primary Responsibilities: Lead moderately complex to complex initiatives from requirements through implementation and post-production support. Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements; prepare detailed functional specifications, test plans, and test cases. Conduct research and analysis of moderately complex data to ensure accurate functional design. Facilitate meetings with business stakeholders to understand application changes, user experience expectations, and operational impacts. Participate in design discussions and collaborate with technology teams to ensure alignment and understanding of requirements. Serve as functional lead for assigned applications and projects; coordinate timelines, estimates, and deliverables. Act as Test Coordinator when needed; manage and/or execute system, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Support data mapping and system integration activities for enhancements, conversions, acquisitions, or regulatory initiatives. Work with vendors to understand solution functionality and support implementation activities. Monitor scope, manage change requests, and ensure adherence to corporate technology standards and regulatory requirements. Track, document, and resolve issues identified during testing and implementation. Coordinate post-implementation reviews, including issue resolution and actual-to-plan analysis. Identify and escalate risk-related concerns in accordance with enterprise risk management standards. Mentor junior analysts through guidance on methodology, analysis, and application knowledge. Promote a collaborative environment that supports diversity and organizational values. Maintain internal control standards and support audit and regulatory requirements. Complete additional duties as assigned. Scope of Responsibilities:This role functions as a senior-level functional lead supporting enterprise and line-of-business initiatives. Responsibilities include cross-functional coordination among business units, technology teams, and external vendors; managing multiple concurrent projects; supporting Agile/Scrum delivery environments; and ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture, risk controls, and compliance requirements.Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:No direct supervisory responsibility. Provides functional leadership, project coordination, and mentorship to less experienced staff.Education and Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years of combined higher education and/or operational, business analysis, or analytics experience. Demonstrated experience with requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and testing. Strong Agile/Scrum experience supporting full-stack software delivery teams. Technical understanding and process analysis capabilities across integrated systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to think critically and work effectively across teams. Proficiency with personal computers and standard business software applications. Education and Experience Preferred: Bachelor's degree. Subject matter expertise in a business domain and familiarity with supported applications. Experience managing multiple moderately complex to complex projects simultaneously. Understanding of integrated and interfacing applications. Experience with project management tools and advanced spreadsheet/documentation tools. Familiarity with application development platforms and enterprise frameworks. Knowledge of banking systems, terminology, and regulatory environment. Ability to present to all levels of management. Experience coordinating across multiple applications and business units. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving approach. Experience supporting acquisitions, conversions, or large-scale enterprise initiatives.
