Nurse Clinical Services Director

The Nurse Clinical Services Director is a senior nursing leadership opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager, Clinical RN Manager, Clinical Nursing Director, or RN Clinical Director ready to oversee hospital-wide clinical support services in an acute care environment. This Nurse Clinical Services Director will drive patient flow, quality outcomes, staffing optimization, and operational excellence while partnering closely with executive nursing leadership and physicians. As the Nurse Clinical Services Director, this role operates within an accredited acute-care organization known for steadfast quality, patient safety recognitions, and shared governance that empowers clinical decision-making. The Nurse Clinical Services Director reports to the Chief Nursing Officer and partners closely with executive leadership and service line directors to align strategy and operations. The Nurse Clinical Services Director leads Bed Management, Float Pool nursing, House Supervisors, IV Therapy, and Wound Care teams, while collaborating with case management, emergency services, perioperative services, and physician leaders to streamline access and care coordination. The Nurse Clinical Services Director oversees a 24/7 hospital-wide throughput and clinical support operation that manages admissions, transfers, and discharges for varied acuity levels. The Nurse Clinical Services Director leads a high-performing mix of experienced RNs, house supervisors, IV and wound specialists, and float pool clinicians, fostering a supportive, high-accountability culture that leverages data, EHR tools, and strong interdisciplinary collaboration. The Nurse Clinical Services Director qualifications and requirements include: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required (Master's preferred); current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred; and prior acute care clinical leadership experience at the manager or director level. Strong experience in hospital operations, staffing models, patient throughput, and interdisciplinary collaboration is essential.
