Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for a Safety & Health Manager to join our Team in the Hopewell, VA area. The HSE Manager provides support and oversight for the administration and overall implementation of jobsite health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Non-exempt role; Reports to the HSE Director; Establishes procedures for specific goals in broad area of work / only results are reviewed / develops procedures within limits of policy and guidelines. Essential Qualifications: Preferred but not required B.S. Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or approved equivalent certificationsMust have experience with industrial or commercial safetyMust have experience with OSHA and safe work practices and standardsTechnical training and/or industrial related safety experiencePost-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluationHazard Communication orientation/testTurner Industries Group, LLC indoctrinationOSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)Job site orientationJob site safety requirements (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, )Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, )Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others at the workplace Functional Requirements: Assist with identification of jobsite HSE needs and strategiesStaffing of project locations with qualified HSE personnelGuidance and support of jobsite Health and Safety ManagersImplementation of HSE improvement tools and processesProvide appropriate interface and guidance for project locations and management team on health and safety issues.Interface with Project Management personnelImplementation and monitoring of the Company's HSE Management SystemTracking and trending of critical company HSE data and metricsProviding input for the updating of key company HSE programs and processes including company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance items.Provide appropriate interface and guidance for project locations and management team on health and safety issues as related to overall responsibilityAssist with identification of departmental HSE needs and strategiesAssist in development of HSE improvement tools and processesPerform additional assignments per supervisor's direction CompensationFinal agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
