Akkodis is seeking a Fullstack React Developer for a contract role with a client located in El Segundo, CA Pay Rate: $58hr.-$60/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors). Location: El Segundo, CA (Onsite) Contract Job Description: We are looking for a Fullstack React Developer (Contract) to join an established team. This role is frontend-focused with a strong emphasis on React expertise, while also requiring backend awareness to work effectively with APIs, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD workflows. You will report directly to the Senior Fullstack Developer and are expected to take immediate ownership of frontend delivery, bringing strong React foundations and the ability to ramp up quickly in an existing codebase. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain complex frontend features using React • Act as the strongest React contributor on the team, setting best practices and architectural patterns • Work with REST and GraphQL APIs to integrate backend data into frontend applications • Collaborate with backend-aware workflows involving AWS-based infrastructure • Contribute to UI development using Tailwind CSS and component documentation with Storybook • Work within projects that include Astro for modern frontend builds • Ensure testing awareness during development (in collaboration with a dedicated QA engineer) • Collaborate closely with internal engineers and thirdparty agencies • Occasionally participate in technical discussions with stakeholders • Take endtoend ownership of assigned features and deliverables Required Skills & Experience • Strong, proven experience with React in production environments • Deep understanding of React concepts, patterns, and performance considerations • Solid knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+) • Experience integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs • Backend awareness including AWS services and API-driven architectures • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, especially GitHub Actions • Ability to ramp up quickly in existing systems and codebases • Self-driven, autonomous working style with a strong sense of ownership Nice to Have • Experience or familiarity with Drupal (headless or API-driven) • Exposure to Astro • Exposure to A11y • Awareness of Tailwind CSS • Awareness of Storybook • Experience working with SEO-friendly frontend features (Open Graph) Collaboration & Working Style • Works primarily with engineering teams and thirdparty agencies • Occasional interaction with stakeholders • High degree of autonomy and ownership mindset What Success Looks Like • Quickly productive in the existing codebase • Elevates React quality and consistency across the frontend • Collaborates effectively across frontend, backend, and infrastructure • Delivers features independently with strong communication If you are interested in this React Developer role in El Segundo, CA then please click APPLY NOW.
