Reporting to the Director for Student Academic Support, the Coordinator of the University Testing Center coordinates the implementation and administration of institutional and national exams given through the testing center. He/she informs students, testing center staff, and the university community regarding testing procedures; coordinates the test scheduling process; and trains testing center personnel. AA/EOE Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in counseling and guidance, college student personnel, education, educational administration, student affairs, or related field. Two years of relevant work experience within a higher education or closely related testing environment. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders (students, colleagues, administrators), both verbally and in writing. Must possess diplomacy, confidentiality, and strong relationship-building skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills, especially with students. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products and Google platforms. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited institution in counseling and guidance, college student personnel, education, educational administration, student affairs, or related field. 3-5 years of relevant work experience within a higher education or closely related testing environment. 2-3 years working in a higher education environment. Excellent oral, written communication skills, and organizational skills. Working knowledge of CLEP services, Zoom, Banner, EAB Navigate, and Degree Works Special Requirements Summary Local and regional travel required. Work Hours Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week Some evenings and weekends are required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Description Provide oversight for the day-to-day operations, development, and leadership for the University's Testing Center. Work closely with the Director for Student Academic Support to develop and update the center's services, policies, and procedures in response to changing demands. Communicate program policies/procedures to campus and community and maintain integrity of testing environment. Collaborate with the Office of Admission to assist newly admitted students in navigating the testing process. Serve as the systems administrator for testing platforms by creating new accounts, providing ongoing training through workshops for all campus users and coordinating upgrades with the Office of Information Technology. Oversee and administer College Level Examination Program exams through testing center. Work with the Registrar's office to submit CLEP scores for transcript reporting. Promote and maintain Kaplan all-access agreement with XULA. Ensure the hiring and employment of Test Center personnel by supervising, training, and evaluating. Maintain Testing Center statistics and prepare periodic reports with recommendations concerning programming implications. Maintain a secure, productive, and distractive free testing environment. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
