Create customized treatment strategies tailored to address specific communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on aspects such as communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Work in close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, healthcare providers, families, and caregivers to formulate integrated care approaches. Provide education for patients and their families to foster progress and understanding outside the therapy sessions. Conduct occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the rehabilitation process. Uphold precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Maintain a commitment to professional development through continuing education and collaboration with peers. Education A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified. Certifications Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification should be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in employing evidence-based treatment methodologies across all age groups, with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling connection with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
