Job Description

Unleash Communication Potential in the Sunshine State - Become Our Next Speech Language PathologistOverview Imagine a career where your dedication to empowering communication literally transforms lives. As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of Florida's most dynamic cities, your expertise will extend beyond addressing speech and swallowing challenges. You will inspire growth, restore self-assurance, and foster connection at every stage of life - from exuberant toddlers uttering their first sounds to resilient seniors renewing their independence. This position presents a remarkable chance to work with a diverse clientele across all age groups in an environment that seamlessly weaves together outpatient therapy with instances of inpatient care. Whether your passion lies in nurturing pediatric language skills, managing adult neurogenic disorders, or supporting geriatric cognitive recovery, you will discover purpose and adaptability in this role. Description Assess a broad range of individuals including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using standardized evaluation tools combined with observational insights. Create tailored treatment plans targeting immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Administer personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing aspects of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Engage in collaborative efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, medical practitioners, caregivers, and families to establish integrated care strategies. Provide educational resources to patients and families to enhance progress outside clinical sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy services, ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout the treatment experience. Uphold thorough and timely documentation in alignment with state and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies. Stay updated with developments in the speech-language therapy field through ongoing education and interactions with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who are not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic approaches applicable to all age groups, along with a solid understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing conditions. Strong interpersonal communication skills enabling effective interactions with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Flexibility to adjust therapy techniques to accommodate a wide array of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Exceptional clinical judgment and a knack for problem-solving. Proficient with electronic medical records and documentation protocols. Benefits Competitive salary based on experience. Flexible work schedules to promote a healthy work-life balance with diverse patient loads. Opportunities for specialization in pediatrics, adult neurological rehabilitation, or geriatrics. Paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation. Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance packages. Support for continuing education expenses and professional development. A nurturing, team-oriented workplace focused on delivering quality care and lifelong learning. A Career That Moves with You - and Moves You In this position, you won't just be delivering speech therapy - you will become a vital part of a mission that aims to restore voices, enhance communication, and cultivate joy through the power of understanding. You'll collaborate with fellow clinicians who regard one another as family, in an atmosphere that champions teamwork rather than rivalry. Each patient presents a unique journey; we trust you to help craft their narrative. Why You'll Love Living and Working Here Life in this beautiful corner of Florida is a blend of sun-soaked days and vibrant community spirit. The region's stunning coastlines, coupled with a rich cultural tapestry, provide an idyllic backdrop for those seeking an exceptional balance between workplace satisfaction and lifestyle enrichment. Families gather at lively parks for outdoor concerts, while adventure enthusiasts enjoy kayaking, surfing, or exploring nature reserves. The local food scene is a delightful mix, from fresh seafood shacks to upscale dining establishments that showcase Florida's bounty. The pulsating creative energy is palpable in murals that brighten city streets, melodious tunes that drift from lively venues, and festivals that unite the community in celebration. As for professionals, the perks extend beyond lifestyle-no personal income tax, an affordable cost of living, and a flourishing healthcare network make this locale a fertile environment for new careers. Whether you're just starting out in your career or you're an experienced clinician wanting to explore fresh opportunities, you'll discover a space to evolve-both personally and professionally. Who We're Looking For We seek a Speech Language Pathologist who is motivated by both results and compassion. Someone who looks at a silent child and envisions a future filled with expression, who listens to a stroke survivor and hears a voice longing to communicate once more. You may be a pediatric expert keen to embrace adult therapy practices, or a neuro-focused clinician looking to integrate early childhood interventions into your methodology. Whatever your specialty, if you are prepared to serve with empathy and lead with expertise, we are excited to welcome you aboard. Let's Find the Right Words Together If you believe that speech transcends mere sounds, and that therapy extends beyond mere tasks-if you value building trust as a prerequisite to achieving goals, and laughter alongside language-this could be your next rewarding chapter. Join us in a community that honors communication, relationships, and the bravery required to embark on new beginnings. Apply today and bring your voice to our team - while helping others find theirs.
