Description Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods. Formulate individualized treatment strategies that cater to immediate goals while addressing long-term communication, swallowing, or cognitive needs. Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on various aspects of communication including fluency, voice, and swallowing. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to ensure a unified approach to patient care. Provide education to patients and their families to support their progress beyond therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the patient's journey. Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation meeting all essential regulations and standards. Continue to advance your expertise through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is necessary if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire. Skills Strong grasp of evidence-based practices for treating patients of all ages, along with a deep understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Brilliant interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
