Position Type: Student Support Services/Speech and Language Pathologist Date Posted: 1/29/2026 Location: Ames Elementary School Date Available: August 2026 Position Title: School Speech and Language Pathologist (Early Childhood Special Education) See attached job description Terms of Employment: 10 month position, 6.67 hours per day Salary: Per the terms of REC Collective Bargaining Agreement Benefits: Eligible for health, dental, vision and life insurance Per terms of REC Collective Bargaining Agreement Qualifications/Skills: Education/Certification/License:Professional Educator License (PEL) registered in Region 06 West Cook Speech/Language Pathologist Endorsement Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Clinical Competency Certification (CCC) from ASHA or eligibility Demonstrate knowledge of early childhood communication development and best practices in assessment and intervention Experience working with preschool-aged children, including students with complex communication needs - Preferred Prior experience in school settings or early childhood special education - Preferred Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies and developmentally appropriate instruction - Preferred Strong collaborative and communication skills for working with families and interdisciplinary teams - Preferred Application Procedure: External candidates should complete the on-line application Internal candidates should complete the internal application Selection Procedure: Qualified candidates will contacted by the appropriate building administrator NOTE: Please do not send hard copies of supporting documentation, i.e., cover letters, resumes, etc. to Riverside District 96 Schools.
