Duties include, but are not limited to, assessing the respiratory status of individuals of all ages, emergency response, mechanical ventilation, invasive and noninvasive procedures, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, maintaining the arterial blood gas system, and patient transport. Respiratory Care Clinical Practice Guidelines are the standard of care for which therapy is based on for all modalities. Patient populations will include: neonatal, pediatric, adults, geriatric. Will be required to care for patients from the ER, Birthing Center, Surgical Unit, PCU (high acuity) Patients may have RSV, asthma, sleep apnea, COPD and RRT will need to perform oxygen checks, nebulizor treatments, and will be required to handle rapid responses and medical emergencies. Requirement description : 1 year of RRT acute care experience - REQUIRED Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Care - REQUIRED Must be comfortable working independently as they are the only RT on duty - REQUIRED Must be able to provide care for patients on a ventilator to maintain a stable airway - REQUIRED Ability to perform arterial blood gas draws - REQUIRED Ability to intubate independently - Preferred PROFILE REQUIREMENTS Resume Skills checklist specific to the discipline (within the last year) 2 supervisory references from last 2 years of employment Certifications - certifications don't need to be active at time of submission but must be willing to obtain COVID vaccination - not required but please include in profile if vaccinated CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : ACLS (AHA) PALS (AHA) NRP BLS (AHA) STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS : Vermont ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS : Must have active license at time of submission Weekend Requirements : Rotating weekends On Call Requirements : 4 hours of on-call with sleep room provided, OT hours if woken up between 1AM - 5AM
