Senior Electrical Engineer

Our client is a very well established manufacturer of products for the electric power line industry, and they have an immediate need for a Senior Electrical Engineer. Job Description The Design Engineer's responsibility is to manage the design and development of new products for the electric utility market as well as manage engineering activities related to maintaining existing products. • Develop new product part and assembly designs, drawings and specifications • Evaluate and recommend specifications and ensure products meet the technical and functional requirements • Review and analysis of proposed product changes • Perform feasibility, functional, and quality testing of designs • Manage prototype development and testing. • Facilitate creation and approval of Engineering drawing changes • Recommend and follow reliable, efficient, and cost-effective procedures • Write test reports for both internal use and for publication • Work independently on moderately complex products/product lines. • Collaborate with other members of the engineering staff to ensure project milestones are met and that projects are completed according to established timelines • Technical support for Field Sales personnel Job Requirements Requirements: • BSEE or equivalent • 5-10 years of engineering experience • Familiarity with 3D modeling software • Good communication skills Preferred: • Electric utility product line experience • Manufacturing environment experience • Proficient with 3D modeling software (preferably SolidWorks or ProE) • Understanding of manufacturing processes Apply for this position
