Position Summary: To provide intermittent companionship and emotional support to patients and their caregivers facing life threatening illnesses and death. Provides respite care by staying with the patient up to 2 hours while caregiver runs errands. Provide companionship to patient when caregiver is home or not home or in a facility. Maintains strict patient/caregiver confidentiality. May volunteer in Palatka Care Center, facilities, or in the home. Volunteers must have their own transportation; may not be dropped off at patient homes. Must be reliable.
