Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced Radiologic Technologist skilled in X-ray imaging to provide high-quality diagnostic services in a dynamic clinical setting. This contract role requires flexibility with work hours to align with department needs and the ability to perform independently while maintaining excellent patient care and safety standards. Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients for radiologic procedures, operating radiographic equipment safely and competently, and ensuring quality control of diagnostic images. The role involves patient interaction through clear communication, obtaining clinical histories, and demonstrating compassion and professionalism. Additionally, you will act as a clinical coordinator for imaging students, providing guidance and evaluations during their rotations. Critical thinking, adherence to infection control policies, and the ability to respond effectively in emergencies are essential. Key responsibilities: Obtain accurate patient clinical histories and assess for contraindications prior to exams Administer contrast media following safety protocols Verify patient identity and clinical orders before procedures Produce high-quality diagnostic images with proper technique and radiation safety Maintain and disinfect imaging equipment per policy Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist colleagues as needed Provide instruction and feedback for imaging students during clinical rotations Manage patient scheduling and prioritize tasks efficiently Qualifications and Experience: Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent Current ARRT Radiography certification Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to function independently and in team environments Proficiency with PACS and RIS systems Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Location Overview: Situated in Thomson, Georgia, this role offers a chance to work within a welcoming community known for its historic charm and Southern hospitality.
