A skilled Occupational Therapist is sought to support school-aged children's developmental and functional needs in a dynamic educational environment. This role involves providing direct therapy services, working collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff to create individualized plans that enhance students' participation and success within the school setting. Location: Bossier City, LA Position involves travel between various schools within the district. Key Responsibilities: Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments to identify students' needs Develop and implement individualized therapy goals and treatment plans Provide direct occupational therapy services in school and classroom settings Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into daily routines Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with regulations Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights regarding student progress and needs Stay current on best practices and techniques within pediatric occupational therapy in educational settings Qualifications/Experience: Licensed Occupational Therapist with current state licensure Experience working with school-age children preferred Knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy techniques and school-based therapy models Ability to travel regularly between school sites within the assigned area Strong communication and collaboration skills Commitment to supporting students' academic and functional success This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' educational experiences while engaging in a challenging and varied schedule that includes travel across multiple school sites.
