As a new board member, you will play a crucial role in defining our mission, enhancing our impact, and fostering a lasting legacy in the realm of gifted education. Your collaboration with the Head of School will be vital in implementing long-term strategic plans, including initiatives for growth and facilities development. You will help uphold our mission's integrity, ensure our financial sustainability, and provide necessary leadership and evaluation. Candidates with at least 10 years of experience in nonprofit leadership or board service are preferred, alongside a commitment to making a substantial annual financial contribution. A strategic and proactive governance approach is essential. We value bold, intellectually engaged individuals who challenge the status quo thoughtfully. The role requires a time commitment of 20-30 hours per quarter, including attendance at board meetings, committee participation, and active involvement in fundraising events. While proximity to the Greater Philadelphia area is preferred, we welcome candidates from other regions who can demonstrate their commitment and possess strong networking capabilities.
