Job Details Position: Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) / Hospital Occupational Therapist Location: Temple, Texas (76504) - Temple, TX inpatient rehab / hospital OT role Assignment Type: Travel therapy assignment (13-week) Setting: Hospital - Inpatient Rehabilitation Start Date: March 23, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-hour days Hours per Week: 40 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1790-$1920 Required Qualifications Current, valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of Texas (OT license Texas) BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, with previous inpatient rehab experience required Experience supervising COTAs / Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and mentoring OT students preferred Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, develop, and administer occupational therapy treatment in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards Assess patients' functional level and implement individualized OT treatment plans focused on activities of daily living (ADLs), adaptive equipment, and functional mobility Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, discharge planning, and provide patient and family education Complete timely and accurate documentation, progress notes, and treatment plans in the electronic medical record Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), support OT students, and assist with new staff orientation Promote patient and staff safety by following facility safety policies and infection control guidelines Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives and maintain flexibility in scheduling to meet patient needs Demonstrate strong communication, clinical reasoning, and customer service skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members Why Join Our Team This travel OT opportunity places you in a hospital-based inpatient rehab setting in Temple, TX - a welcoming community with parks, recreation, and easy access to regional amenities.
