Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details Location: Tulsa, OK 74136 - Respiratory therapist jobs in Oklahoma / Tulsa healthcare jobs Setting: Hospital - Respiratory Care Unit (acute care, ICU, PICU) Employment Type: Travel Contract - Respiratory therapist travel job Start Date: March 30, 2026 End Date: June 27, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend rotation Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,730 - $1,860 Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care or hospital setting Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program Valid Oklahoma Provisional / Respiratory Care Practitioner License (RCP) or temporary letter to practice issued by the Oklahoma Medical Board Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA (must be obtained within 2 months of hire) Preferred: experience in Critical Care, Mechanical Ventilation management, and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and basic PC skills for electronic medical records Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary hospital teams Key Responsibilities - Hospital Respiratory Therapist Assess, implement, and evaluate respiratory care services according to hospital standards, respiratory care protocols, and department policies Provide respiratory care interventions across non-critical and critical care areas, with attention to age-specific and culturally competent care Administer aerosol therapy, nebulized medications, metered dose inhalers, humidity therapy, and medical gas delivery Manage mechanical ventilation (invasive and non-invasive), perform ventilator checks, monitor patient parameters, and adjust ventilator settings per protocol and physician orders Perform respiratory mechanics testing, PEP therapy, pulse oximetry, chest physiotherapy, suctioning, bronchoscopy assist, intubation support, and extubation care Participate in code blues, Rapid Response/RIT/CRIT calls, and safe patient transports Document clinical assessments, ventilator settings, interventions, and physician orders accurately in the electronic medical record Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team; demonstrate professional judgment in changing patient conditions Precept and mentor new staff, support quality improvement initiatives, and attend required in-services and education to meet department goals Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Tulsa, OK.
