Technical Engineer, Cloud (1-4 years of experience)

About the role Sectra is seeking a Technical Engineer to support and operate our SaaS solutions hosted in Microsoft Azure. This role is ideal for someone with a strong IT or systems background who is early in their cloud journey and wants to grow in a production, regulated healthcare environment. What you'll do Support day-to-day operations of Sectra's Azure-hosted SaaS environments Perform system administration across Windows (and some Linux) servers Assist with system monitoring, alerting, and basic troubleshooting Execute OS and application updates following established processes Support backup, restore, and resiliency activities Assist with identity and access management tasks Participate in incident resolution and escalation as part of a team Contribute to automation and scripting efforts (PowerShell preferred) Work closely with senior engineers, security, and project teams Other duties as assigned Travel as required (up to 25%) What we're looking for 1-4 years of experience in IT, systems administration, cloud operations, or technical support Hands-on experience supporting Windows-based environments Exposure to Microsoft Azure (VMs, networking, monitoring, or similar) Basic understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPN, firewalls, load balancing) Interest in cloud operations, security, and infrastructure Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience Nice to have Experience working in a managed service provider (MSP) or support organization Exposure to healthcare, SaaS, or regulated environments Additional details Occasional after-hours or on-call support may be required Some travel may be required based on business needs Why Sectra Competitive salary and benefits package Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, generous PTO A collaborative, supportive, and international work environment The opportunity to work on systems that directly impact patient care Other information: The salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $100,000, based on experience and qualifications.
