Job Description: The Mechanical Field Engineer will support mechanical building system startups, commissioning, and construction activities across industrial facilities. This role serves as a subject matter expert coordinating contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure quality, safety, schedule adherence, and compliance with project specifications and applicable codes. The engineer will act as a liaison between field construction activities and project management while driving successful project delivery. Requirement/Must Have: Extensive knowledge of mechanical building systems and construction methods. Strong understanding of prevailing building codes and professional industry standards. Proficient drawing review and field application abilities. OSHA 30 certification. Strong knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA requirements for mechanical installations. bility to communicate technical information clearly in written and verbal formats. bility to manage schedules, priorities, and multiple project commitments effectively. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project. Experience: Extensive experience in industrial or commercial construction projects. Experience in mechanical design and field engineering roles. Experience managing construction schedules on daily, weekly, and monthly bases. Experience developing design criteria for mechanical systems. Experience working in large industrial or manufacturing environments. Responsibilities: Facilitate mechanical building system startups and commissioning activities. Review product and equipment submittals, shop drawings, engineering drawings, specifications, and RFIs. Coordinate equipment factory testing, delivery, installation, commissioning, and handover to end users. Coordinate weekend and plant shutdown work with contractors and facility teams. Conduct continuous work progress inspections and quality confirmations. Support construction administration activities including schedule coordination and weekly meetings. Inspect mechanical building systems for compliance with specifications, quality standards, and codes. Oversee mechanical contractors to ensure adherence to schedules, milestones, and delivery methods. Prepare field engineering status reports on work progress and schedules. Provide input to improve project technical specifications and standards. Coordinate construction scheduling and communication across teams. Manage daily construction support and RFI coordination. ct as liaison between field construction teams and project management. Supervise construction activities in the field. Monitor equipment installation methods to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. Should Have: utomotive or industrial manufacturing facility experience. Strong organizational and coordination skills. Experience supervising complex construction activities. Skills: Mechanical field engineering and construction support. Qualification And Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Strong working knowledge of industry codes and standards.
