Trade Relations Manager

We are looking for a Trade Relations Manager to join our team located in Fairhope, Alabama, supporting our Gulf Coast Division. Job Purpose: In this role, you will establish and maintain strong relationships with our Trade Partners. You will negotiate the purchase of products and services to help us achieve our production, sales, quality, and profitability goals. What You'll Do: Select and hire Trade Partners; oversee set up process. Develop and maintain trusted relationships with our Trade Partners. Manage the Trade Partner contract and Scopes of Work. Evaluate trade partner performance and address insufficiencies. Maintain Standard Trades and Trade bid lists in SMART (Proprietary Software). Collaborate with Purchasing staff from Support Center and other affiliates. Identify cost saving ideas, value engineering opportunities, and alternatives. Coordinate Product Development process (with Estimating and Architecture). Review monthly release notes and communicate changes. Monitor new community cost books for accuracy. Weekly review of Variance Reports and PCRs. Oversee Purchasing Coordinator role. Manage Site Bid Documents, rebate and model home programs. Routinely visit sites to ensure Trades are using specified materials/products. Minimum Job Requirements: Education: College degree in related field or commensurate experience Experience: Knowledge of home construction techniques Four+ years of experience in residential construction field operations Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (all applications) Internet Proficiency SMART (Proprietary software) We are an equal employment opportunity employer and a certified Drug Free Workplace.
