Requirements Must possess Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC along with a valid CPR certification. Key Responsibilities The primary role of the Certified Respiratory Care Specialist is to assess, treat, and manage patients with breathing complications or other cardiopulmonary issues. Administer respiratory care as per physician directives and established protocols. Contribute to designing and applying patient care plans. Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations and accepted best practices. Foster excellent customer relations through professional communication with management, colleagues, facility personnel, patients, and their families. Educate patients and caregivers on therapy processes and objectives. Accurately maintain and update patient records.
